Is the CCP application right for me?
- New 9th-12th grade students can apply to the CCP program during designated open application periods.
- Inactive CCP students (those who were accepted previously but did not take courses for two or more consecutive Fall/Spring semesters) must reapply. Only withdrawal after census or completion counts as an active semester for CCP students.
- If you are no longer a high school student, please contact the JCC Student Success Center.
Did I check the CCP webpage to confirm my eligible pathways?
- Verify which pathways you qualify for at your current or rising high school grade level.
- If applying in the Fall, choose pathways based on the grade you will be in during that full school year.
- If applying in the Spring for a Fall start, choose pathways based on the grade you will be in that Fall.

Selecting CCP Pathway(s) on my application:
- Eligible students can choose one College Transfer pathway and one Career and Technical Education (CTE) pathway.
- JCPS students should speak with their CCP Representative about adding the BioWorks Pre-Apprenticeship option.
- If you only plan to take college transfer courses, a CTE pathway is not required.
- For juniors and seniors, it is recommended to add a college transfer pathway, if possible, even if primarily focusing on CTE.
Although the CCP application process is straightforward, students often have questions about which pathway(s) to choose. For rising juniors and seniors, the College Transfer: Associate of Arts pathway typically offers the most dual enrollment options. This may seem counterintuitive if you are planning to pursue a STEM major in college, but it is important to remember that the pathway does not determine your future degree. At this stage, it simply dictates which courses are eligible for dual enrollment with your high school. The Associate of Arts pathway provides the most flexibility, offering a wide range of humanities and social sciences classes that can count as high school electives.
If you are a junior or senior selecting a CTE pathway (e.g., Business, Welding, IT, Nurse Aide), it is advantageous to choose the Associate of Arts pathway as a secondary option if you have an unweighted GPA of 2.8 or higher. This gives you the flexibility to have additional online courses in your CTE area of study if in-person classes are unavailable during a given semester.
If your goal is to fulfill your high school foreign language requirement with Spanish college courses, you must select a college transfer pathway. In this case, the College Transfer: Associate of Arts pathway is an excellent choice.
If I am choosing a CTE Pathway, did I review the courses and credit hours?
